Mesha Moinirad's journey began at the age of 23 when, at the peak of his health and fitness, he was rushed to the hospital with a ruptured appendix, leading to the diagnosis of Ulcerative Colitis and subsequent ileostomy surgery with a stoma.

Determined to enhance his own experience, Mesha embarked on creating a support belt designed to elevate the daily life of individuals living with a stoma.

In 2020, Anchor Brands was introduced to Mesha, sparking the idea of innovating and commercialising more beneficial products for the stoma community on a global scale.

Recognising the need for specialised supplements for people with bowel diseases, Anchor and Mesha collaborated with Sophie Medlin, a renowned consultant dietitian and Chair of the British Dietetic Association. Their shared vision led to the development of Hydrostomate, a hydration product inspired by the St. Mark's Solution.
