PICCAN was purchased from Unilever by KIMCO in 1994. In 2017, Anchor Brands signed an agreement with KIMCO to be responsible for PICCAN’s strategy, product and range development across Africa.

For all these years, PICCAN has been a trusted brand in infant care and medicine in West Africa and Nigeria in particular.

We treat each individual product with a special care and attention in both it’s product quality and how we serve our trade partners and consumers.

In 2022, we are proud to launch ‘Made in Africa’ products too. This compliments our production in UK and EU.

We chose Nigeria because it’s big, beautiful and going places. PICCAN is a household name there and we intend to continue being a part of daily life in a more integrated way than ever before.

This is a great spring board for more local production and investment in the region.

 

 

 

 

 

RESCOFER was established in the early 80’s and was originally introduced in West Africa by Ricesteele of Ireland. All the places, it took hold in Ghana like no other. It’s the taste!

 

The Ghanaian people have enjoyed the taste of RESCOFER, and of course its health benefits!!

 

The combination of the active ingredients and overall supreme formula gives RESCOFER a position like no other.

 

Anchor Brands exported RESCOFER to many countries on behalf of Ricesteele and in 2019 we signed an agreement to secure the rights to the RESCOFER brand in Africa.

 

Having enjoyed almost 30 years of exports, we decided it was time to produce locally in Ghana. We have enjoyed tremendous success with our launch of ‘Made in Ghana’ RESCOFER which we are proud to say is now being exported to other African countries including Nigeria & Sierra Leone

 

 

 

 

 

With our history and success in Multivitamin Syrups and Supplement products, we decided to launch our first range of high end daily dose, tablet based, targeted multivitamins.

In the 1970’s and 1980’s DAWN OF LIFE was consumed in many African countries as a non alcoholic beverage. A kind of celebration drink that was fundamentally a health tonic.

 

Then came the type of non-alcoholic celebration drinks which are still with us today and at the time of their introduction in the 1990’s, DAWN of LIFE had decided more on the health tonic aspects than the celebration drink patterns.

 

Then in the 1990’s and 2000’s DAWN OF LIFE was sold in a medicinal brown Winchester bottle and was consumed as a Herbal based Health Tonic.

 

Currently, only the Blood Tonic is available in Ghana and Sierra Leone.
